Newton Lower Falls is one of the 13 Villages of Newton, and is one of the towns that the Boston Marathon runs through. Newton Lower Falls also extends into Wellesley Lower Falls that is home to a small business district.
Although now a Nothwestern enclave of Newton, Newton Lower Falls was once home to one of the first paper mills in the country due to it's proximity to the Charles River.
